Dr. Marisa Zenha is a guest assistant in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Vila Nova de Gaia Hospital Center, where she is involved in patient care in the operating room, screenings, and biopsies for oral cancer detection, as well as scientific posters and communications.
She works privately in the specialties of Oral Rehabilitation and Aesthetic Dentistry, particularly focusing on Oncological Rehabilitation, Temporomandibular Dysfunction and Orofacial Pain, and Anaplastology (maxillofacial prosthetics, including ocular, nasal, and auricular prostheses).
Dr. Marisa Zenha completed her clinical internship in the Operating Room in the area of Pathology and Oral Surgery. She assists in oral tumor surgeries, provides clinical follow-up for patients with head and neck conditions, carries out oral rehabilitation for oncological patients, and provides care for patients with Temporomandibular Dysfunction and Orofacial Pain.
She is also a lecturer in the intensive implant course at Lisbon Implantology Week supported by Straumann, teaches in the Therapeutic Injectables in Dentistry course at Sorriso Natural, and leads the Hands-on Bone Defect Reconstruction Surgery course by Geistlich, Inibsa.
Her qualifications include:
– Diploma in Dental Prosthetics from the Escola Superior do Vale do Sousa in 2001.
– Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry from the Instituto Superior de Ciências da Saúde do Norte (ISCS-N) in 2007.
– Postgraduate degree in Oral Rehabilitation and Occlusion from the same institution in 2010.
– Advanced Studies Diploma in Odonto-Stomatology from the University of Barcelona (UB).
