The Change of Cecília

Due to the loss of teeth in the upper arch, Cecília had been using a removable denture for several years. Besides the denture not being aesthetic, it was poorly adapted, which affected her function and also her social life.

After study and planning, it was found that she had an atrophic maxilla, which would require bone grafts to allow for implant placement. However, due to her weak physical condition, this approach was not viable.

It was decided to preserve the remaining teeth and create a combined prosthesis, which combines a fixed prosthesis with a removable one. That is, it is a total removable prosthesis that improves retention, stability, and distribution of forces through retentive mechanisms on the abutment teeth.

In the lower arch, intensive in-office teeth whitening was performed to correct the color, and a removable denture was placed to replace the missing teeth.

 Silvia’s Transformation

Sílvia is a young adult who lost several teeth prematurely. To restore dental function and her smile, we opted for the All-on-4 surgery (full implant-supported rehabilitation), as most of her teeth had already been lost, and the remaining ones were compromised.

Before the implant placement surgery, we carried out an oral hygiene consultation with the necessary instructions. Additionally, an intensive in-office teeth whitening was performed on the lower teeth to correct the color and make them whiter.

Natércia’s Transformation

Natércia, despite having apparently healthy teeth, had agenesis of a lateral incisor (a tooth that did not develop) and some missing posterior teeth, and therefore was not satisfied with her smile.

After a thorough smile study and planning, an intensive in-office teeth whitening was performed to make the teeth more uniform and white, and implants were placed to replace the missing teeth.

To complete the treatment, crowns were placed over the implants and ceramic veneers were adhered to achieve a beautiful and harmonious smile.

Carla’s Transformation

Carla had only three teeth in the upper arch, in very poor condition, and after studying and planning her case, it was decided to extract the remaining teeth due to their deterioration, thus allowing the placement of the necessary implants for performing the “Teeth in One Day” surgery (total implant-supported rehabilitation) on the upper arch.

Before the implant placement surgery, an oral hygiene consultation was performed with the necessary instructions.

On the lower arch, an intensive in-office teeth whitening was done, and a removable prosthesis was made to restore the lost function.

The Change of Maria do Céu – Oral Rehabilitation

Despite having seemingly healthy teeth, Maria do Céu was not satisfied with her smile, nor did she find it very beautiful due to the lack of teeth, which required implants to restore her smile.

Furthermore, due to her phobia, visits to the dentist were not regular, and over time, her dental condition worsened, even leading to the loss of all her posterior teeth.

After studying and planning the smile, implants were placed in the edentulous spaces.

Subsequently, an intensive in-office teeth whitening treatment was performed to make her teeth brighter.

To complete the treatment, composite veneers were applied to her teeth, as well as crowns over the previously placed implants.
