The patient’s main complaints were the color and size of her teeth. Aesthetic Dentistry treatments always begin with a thorough analysis of the patient’s entire oral condition. It is very important to ensure that there are no pathologies such as cavities, which can lead to serious complications if not addressed before proceeding with the treatment. In this case, a small layer of bacterial plaque that had accumulated near the gums was removed.
In the first consultation, an intraoral scan was also performed, which allows the patient’s oral structure to be replicated in a digital platform. This phase gives us the opportunity to make a more precise and comprehensive plan, leading to more predictable results.
At this stage, it will be possible to present the patient, digitally, with an approximate result of the treatment, so they can provide feedback to the dentist, and together, make any necessary adjustments to achieve a functional, long-lasting result that meets expectations.
In the second consultation, the dental pieces are prepared. To ensure a perfect fit for the veneers, a slight abrasion is made on the tooth surface. In this consultation, provisional pieces that replicate the final result of the treatment are applied, ensuring the patient’s comfort and the security of the dental pieces while the permanent veneers are being prepared.
At this stage, the patient will already have a very close idea of the final result and can request any further adjustments to ensure the final result aligns with their expectations.
In the third consultation, which should take place the week after the provisional pieces are applied, the permanent Dental Veneers are placed. These Dental Veneers are created in a renowned dental laboratory, crafted from biomimetic materials that almost perfectly replicate the color and shape of a natural tooth.
